With its 1,400 acres of wetlands, open space, existing infrastructure, and developable land, the former 1,450-acre South Weymouth Naval Air Station is equivalent to the size of Boston’s downtown and Back Bay neighborhood. Southfield is a mixed-use, smart growth re-use plan with a vision to transform the base into a welcoming place to live, work, and play. The Tetra Tech Rizzo team is responsible for implementing the development program by securing the permitting, building the infrastructure, creating value for the property, and ensuring that the development advances.
