Brookside Terrace Apartments Remediation, Southbridge, Massachusetts

In central Massachusetts, Brookside Terrace is a 17-building apartment complex, located on a 19.5-acre site, which was once the location of a printing mill and a cotton dyeing and finishing factory. Since the site’s soils were contaminated, it was necessary to implement a remediation program. Tetra Tech Rizzo provided design/build services for the assessment and remediation of PCB and metals contaminated soils, which was completed on an expedited schedule to achieve compliance with the Massachusetts Contingency Plan and the Toxic Substances Control Act.
