Working with Us
Staff Testimonials
 Amber, Civil Engineer II
Tetra Tech Rizzo, Framingham, Massachusetts, Office
During the interview process, Tetra Tech Rizzo was the one company that demonstrated a sincere interest in me professionally. The manager I first met with talked with me about the importance of mentoring me as I developed as an engineer. The other interviewers were passionate about their work in our Federal Group and each shared with me that they were looking for the right person for this position, not simply someone to fill a space. This level of interest left me realizing that this is the company for me.
Civil engineering is a very rewarding career for me because I enjoy working with other engineers to create a better place for all of us. The roads, bridges, and infrastructures engineers design are meant for everyone, for our use, enjoyment, appreciation and protection, and without limitation. This excites me and gets me engaged every day! I’m very pleased to be part of a company that shares my enthusiasm.
 Al, Director - Water/Wastewater Services
Tetra Tech Rizzo, Framingham, Massachusetts, Office
I have been at Tetra Tech Rizzo for ten years. I decided to join the firm because of the people I would be working for and the people I would be working with. Everybody was so friendly and welcoming that it made me feel as if I was joining a family. Another reason was the interesting and challenging projects and the potential career opportunities presented within the Water/Wastewater Group. I have stayed at Tetra Tech Rizzo for the same reasons and also because the leadership of our company is top notch. I can walk into the President's office at any time to talk about the technical aspects of a specific project or just to check in to see how we are doing in the company's strategic business plan.
As a Senior Project Manager and Discipline Leader, my responsibilities include day-to- day management of design teams, QA/QC review of design documents and technical reports, and as the primary contact with my clients. I also manage the staffing of projects and allocation of resources throughout the company as well as mentor staff and monitor training programs. Right now, we have a backlog of very diverse and technically challenging projects, and it is always exciting to be part of the design teams on these projects. We work in teams all the time which is a very effective way to tackle all types of projects and a great way to learn something new within the field as well as an opportunity to meet and work with people outside your group.
We have some of the best and brightest engineers and scientists in the business. Our young, energetic staff members come to work every day ready to take on new challenges and assist their team in solving a problem or working towards a solution for a better environment for all of us. We take great pride in our work and it really shows with the level of professionalism and the technical expertise that our teams bring to the table.
 Paula, Project Environmental Scientist
Tetra Tech Rizzo, Framingham, Massachusetts, Office
Out of four offers I chose Tetra Tech Rizzo because of the variety of technically challenging projects, but, most importantly, the people I knew I’d be working with. Everyone I met was happy to work here and was excited to have me become part of the team. I was impressed at the level of rapport between the group’s managers. My work involves conducting environmental site assessments in order to determine whether there is a high potential for environmental contamination at a particular property. I also conduct subsurface investigations, which include drilling oversight, soil and groundwater sampling, data analysis, and report writing. Every day is different and presents new opportunities and challenges.
I like knowing that some of what I do is aimed at cleaning up our environment. I also love the interdisciplinary nature of my work which requires regular collaboration on projects with colleagues from the permitting and site civil engineering groups. My peers are terrific and the junior staff members are always willing to pitch in when help is needed. The managers are supportive and are technically strong scientists and engineers. I’m always confident of our work since I know that it is produced by some of the best professionals in the environmental consulting field.
